Construction Update - Wilbur Road

Wilbur Road Area – (Park Avenue 101 zone)

SCI REMC moved the Wilbur Road area construction up to Phase 1 to ensure our members have timely access to their REMC fiber network.

SCI Fiber crews worked over the weekend installing high-strength steel cable along Wilbur Road and Pumpkinvine Hill Road.

Crews started at our substation just north of 142, proceeded down Wilbur Road, and have now turned on Pumkinvine Hill Road heading toward 67.

Once we finish installing the steel cable, we will return to hang the fiber. The hanging process is called lashing.   

Our overhead installation process moves very quickly and should be completed in the next few weeks.

In early December, a large contingent of SCI Fiber crews will enter the area to ensure that we serve our community in a timely manner.
